Children’s Commissioner accused of bullying

I should be surprised, but am not really.

Family First have revealed how three social workers were threatened with their jobs and bullied because they said, when asked, that they supported amending rather than repealing Section 59.

If this is correct (and NewstalkZB have confirmed it) this is an appalling displaying of abusive behaviour.

When people want an example of political correctness – this is one. You are unable to safely hold the view that smacking (not beating) your child is okay as a disciplinary method. I mean surely this is an issue reasonable people can agree to disagree on – but no the Children’s Commissioner and social workers can not tolerate anyone who does not agree with their *political* view.
