I see that prentice from the Standard will not be attending the dawn service. I am told that he was an army cook along with Ron Mark and should be used to getting up early to clean the kitchen so I am surprised about his no show. I guess he was just a weekend warrior.

If he was a dean of arts it’s doubtful that his opinion would count for much but feel free to explain. A short paragraph on how Japan’s little invasion of China wasn’t expansionism would be helpful.

So like I said he was professor of history so you’re saying someone whose spent their life studying a subject doesn’t have an opinion on that subject that “counts for much?”

On the subject of Japan’s expansionism, you need to look at root cause. And that’s not something to be covered off in a blog. I’ve told you what to look for. Go ahead if you’re interested in educating yourself. If you’re not, then take note you’re living in ignorance and either be comfortable with that or don’t, I don’t care. The point I make is quite obvious. There are two sides to every story. That’s all I’m saying.

I dont harry.
I have no problem with my own sexuality so are not obsessed about that of others .
I do have friends that would probably offend you.
A good friend is a cross dresser. Its a little odd when he is 6’4 has a full beard yet wears a mini and heels .
He is intelligent and witty bloke who would go the extra mile to help a mate out. What he wears is not who he is.

How to keep this sort of short and sickly sweet – ok – so – Porirua east is in lockdown (as it should always be if we’re honest). No Park Run – cancelled. Shit. I’ve swallowed my weight in carb and coffee – if I don’t run my eyes will explode out of their sockets pissing sugar.
Organiser says she’s going to try and do a longer run training for a half marathon – not sure how much. I go with her – and talk her into what ended up as 22.27 kms – the run of her life apparently (well – it was good). I yapped non-stop for 22 kms. Hey – for me it’s my warm-up pace. If I ever warmed up first.

When I finally get home – I’m on such a high from seeing someone else really lift their game – I thought – I’m going out and doing my own 22.3 km run on my track. 1:36’20”. That’s 44 kms all up. It can happen. Every cancellation has a ~~silver lining~~ incredible day of ‘what the hell on earth are you on mate, I want some’.

(Don’t two halves make a whole ? That’s a game of two half marathon distances, yeah ? Coooool)

Sunday prediction: possible munted up body – totally worth it – hahahaha

Well – it wasn’t exactly War & Peace or the Harry Potter series, was it now ? Now get !!

All those damn lefties out there who like to try and reinterpret Anzac Day as some sort of evil promotion of war day are beneath contempt and frankly make me sick as they can only spout out all this shit because others gave their lives to guarantee the freedoms we have today like freedom of speech.
If our grandfathers had rolled over and submitted to some of the regimes of the past instead of fighting them we would all be the worst for it now.
If there are people that don’t appreciate this then they are just cockroaches and are not even worthy of living in this country.
I will be at Anzac commemorations and my local RSA to honour my relatives who fought for this country and not to promote war as this scum believe.

WW2 was more than that, it was an application of social Darwinism and various other ideologies that the “civilized” nations of the world had been flirting with, Hitler just had a crack at doing what many others in Europe and the USA had been moving toward. Having a social time in the big smoke with dare I say it… Several Labour Party members. We were discussing how after Helen Clark capitulated the replacements were trotted out.

It started with Goof who had an identity problem and developed a western gun fighter swagger plus dyed his hair. There was a news item with the labour caucus who were down in Dunedin supporting Goof. They all had sickly grins on their faces.. The worse being mallard who had fallen off his push bike. He mislaid some money and got the boot.

Then we had Shearer the snapper fisherman who forgot that he had a fortune invested overseas. Not much caucus support for mumble who was shafted by Cunners the Chameleon.

Cunners could not remember who he was and was hated by his caucus. He was forced to resign.

Then Labour made a pathetic showing of choosing another leader out of 4 contenders only to be high jacked by the unions and Little who no one wanted was the man of the moment.

It is obvious that Labour is in free fall from a great height and will splatter when it lands. Believe me the midnight oil is being burnt by the labour hierarchy but who will be next to sup from the poisoned challis. Currently there are no takers so they have a lame duck leader.

I’m not sure if anyone is left for a late Saturday night discussion.

Pete George has published an interesting blog post entitled “Government’s Niue dealings look dodgy”. He analyses a Stuff article by Ross Henderson. Some of Pete’s analysis:

That’s an implicated smear with the flimsiest of connections.

More implicated smears with zero evidence. I wonder how much tax Henderson has avoided? Evaded? This is dirty stuff from Henderson.

Henderson first implicates ‘plenty of people’ and now tries to selectively exclude one person who appears to be quite closely involved in the resort contract.

I suspect that Henderson won’t wait for the outcome of an investigation, should it be done, to make up his mind about this.

This is dirty politics 101.

Pete George concludes by asking: “Who is Ross Henderson?”

The answer, according to some people who’ve commented on that thread, is that Mr Henderson has close links to the Labour Party (what a surprise). At the very least, if Stuff publishes more articles from Mr Henderson, there should be some level of disclosure about any links he has to the Labour Party.

Andrew Little made an elementary political mistake when he burst out of the starting blocks with the “stinks to high heaven” comment.

What he should’ve done – and isn’t Matt McCarten supposed to be advising him on these things? – was to say the contract award and the political donation occurred around the same time, this gave rise to a perception problem, and the Auditor-General should investigate the matter. The fact that Little went as far as he did, apparently without any substantiating evidence, reflects badly on him.

I can’t imagine that the next political poll will reward Little for showing such poor political judgement.
