Labour Maori MPs may be axed

Martin Kay in The Press reports that Labour MPs Mita Ririnui and Mahara Okeroa may fail to get selected. Ririnui lost Waiariki to Te Ururoa Flavell last election and Okeroa is trailling in the polls in Te Tai Tonga.

I think it will be very hard for Labour to win back any seats off the Maori Party, or indeed to hold onto Te Tai Tonga. Horomia and Mahuta seem safe at this stage though.
