Police Watch Blog

The Press has an article on the Police Watch Blog someone has set up. It seems to be the work of one person with a very specific complaint.

I’m quoted in the article saying much the same as I did with CYFS Watch. I did make the point that I did not think Google had grounds to remove the blog as defamation alone is not something they will usually act on. I did say, as reported, that it would be far more useful if these sort of scrutiny blogs (which are good in concept) actually backed up allegations with some evidence. For instance a police watch blog linking to news stories of cops censored by the PCA or charged with offences would be quite a different thing.

I should be on National Radio today at around 4.20 pm discussing the issue also.
