Visiting McGehan Close
The Herald on Sunday went with John Key to McGehan Close:
Joan Nathan was ready to detest the man who’d verbally run down her street before the whole country.
But by the time National leader John Key had finished yesterday, the McGehan Close resident was promising to vote for him, and he was arranging to take her daughter Aroha, 12, to Waitangi on Tuesday.
Also nice to see that a good idea can spread quickly, with Tasti Foods stepping forward to offer free food for hungry school kids. National has put them in contact with Wesley Primary which will be the first school participating in this programme. It’s rare you actually get to do something in Opposition, beyond criticise, so this is a very good thing.
