Homosexuality more dangerous than smoking!!

I actually laughed out loud when I saw on the Family First website a news story from overseas about how smoking reduces life expectancy by one to seven years, while homosexuality reduces it by 24 years.

First of all the research showing homosexuals die 24 years earlier is highly suspect, and not based on a random population sample. US research shows it is in fact around 1.2 years.

But even if it is greater than that. So what? Do they want the Government to run campaigns warning homosexuality may be dangerous to your health? Do they want to fund workshops to *cure* people of their addiction to homosexuality?

Do they think an 18 year old just decides one day they will be homosexual because that sounds like more fun, and that if they were aware of the shorter life expectancy they might just decide not to be homosexual?

Or maybe they think the Ministry of health should run a campaign that “fags are bad for your health” – both sorts!

Personally, while I think the research is rubbish, even if it was true, it would just show that homosexuality is not a choice, for who would choose to have a shorter life?
