Johm Armstrong on e-mail handling
I probably link to John Armstrong’s columns more than any other person – not because he is always saying what I want him to say – but because he is so often right in his analysis of events.
While his language is overly colourful, I don’t think anyone would disagree with his analysis that the handling of the leaked e-mail was not up to standard.
The main story itself is a nonsense, as I pointed out yesterday. It should have been rebutted and dealt with, within one news cycle. But now the handling of the rebuttal has itself become the story and will keep it alive for a week or so.
Some days you do well, some days not so well. Main thing is to learn from the days that go not so well and make sure they are not repeated.
