MPs encouraged onto welfare
Last week we heard how some MPs may be eligible to receive Working for Families assistance.
Well this week the Government went one better by sending out (paid for by us) personalised letters encouraging the recipient to seek assistance through the Government’s Working for Families programme.
One of these went to National MP Mark Blumsky. Now Mark’s wife is a partner in a law firm, so with only one child even they don’t qualify. However one wonders how then he was selected for a personalised letter from the Minister.
Most amusing aspect is John Key’s estimation that Mark needs another 25 – 30 kids to qualify. Not a challenge I hope 🙂
