Honorifics

The Press editorial today is on the subject of why it dropped the use of most honorifics a couple of years ago.

A well reasoned argument, highlighting that under the old policy the groups which did not have honorifics were criminals, sportsmen, artists, musicians, journalists and dancers which led to considerable inconsistencies.

Personally as someone who detests being called Mr Farrar, I’m glad fewer media use them nowadays.
