Whangamata Marina

A fascinating development yesterday with a revelation that former Labour Party President Bob Harvey told people three days before Chris Carter made his decision to overturn the Environment Court that “the Minister has got the balls to go ahead and stop the marina going ahead at Whanga.” and goes on to ask people to e-mail their opposition to the marina.

Just as interesting is that all these e-mails, which were orchestrated, are now quoted by the Minister as proof that his decision is supported. As Sandra Goudie pointed out in the House the more reliable survey is that done of every household by the Waikato Times showing local residents supported the marina by over three to one.
