Staying in Devonport

Just about to return to Wellington, having been in Auckland since Wednesday for a variety of meetings with ISPs, telcos, industry groups and media. However actually been staying on the North Shore at the Esplanade Hotel in Devonport.

The reason is that every hotel room in Auckland was booked, unless one was prepared to pay $440+ a night for a suite. I think it may have been related to Auckland Cup Day.

As it turns out has been not a problem. The hotel is next to the ferry terminal and it berths by Queen Street around three minutes from InternetNZ
