Good Taste Standard

An episode of Eating Media Lunch has been found to have broke the good taste and decency standard of the Broadcasting Standards Authority.

Well of course it was not in good taste. The whole show is offensive and in bad taste. But you know people know that and can choose not to watch it.

So why do we even have a standard for good taste? I’m not saying there should be no standards at all, but isn’t good taste rather subjective?
