Car Crashes
There’s an old saying in politics. Perception is reality.
Now the reality is that yes the PM did delay her answers to questions and only provided partially accurate information in relation to a car crash last December.
But the perception is of Rodney trying to blame Clark for the fact her police escort rammed her car into a car in front. Russell Brown did a hilarious send up of this yesterday.
While pursuing the issue can be justified on the ground of the late incomplete answers, I am surprised at the judgement call to ask oral questions in the House on this. Sound political judgement would suggest that the perception of doing so would be very negative and this is reflected in the Herald today.
