Graham Capill has abandoned his appeal against his nine year sentence for rape and violation of young girls.

He was damn lucky to get the sentence he got given the age of the complainants (under 12) the gross breach of trust and his total lack of contrition afterwards suggesting he presents an on-going risk to the community. And given all those factors I consider a sentence of preventive detention should have been considered.

No, he deserves it for his indecent attentions and rape of young children [deleted by DPF – Sam please do not make comments that can identify victims with name supression], the abuse of his position in society and so on. These are sickening crimes – his political affiliations are not.

Before you finish reading this reflect on if you were raped as a child, or if your child was raped and how you would feel if you read some offensive little fuckwit comparing it to lowering tax rates or the such. Just a few days ago your good mate TB repeatedly advocated the mass murder of 1.4m people living in the Gaza Strip..and not one single right winger objected. Now personally I had this idea that genocide was a fairly extreme thing to be promoting…you know lots and lots of very dead bodies and all?

So I thought it fair enough to check with our host here that if he is going to start regularly banning folk, like maurice a week ago, and now johnie, just what the rules are. After all if genocide is ok and what johnie said isn’t ok, then I would have thought that seeking a little clarification was in order.

Fair enough. What about “nonce” then? It means “pedophile” (see Wikipedia, Urban Dictionary or even “Brass Eye”). And, while the C word could be argued is fair opinion, describing somebody as a pedophile is a pretty big call.

Can’t see any link between child rape and politics, only link in this case was the politician raped children. Which side of the house he sat on or what beliefs he had are irrelevant.

If the child happened to be one of mine, Capill wouldn’t have to worry about a 9 year sentence, weather he was going to have an appeal heard. Child abuse and violence has to be broken through any means, a 9 year sentence isn’t going to change a thing as we all know he will be lucky if he serves 5 years. I have absolutly no faith in the judicial system in this country and will protect my own with whatever means I deem necessary at the time. People like Capill are not productive members of any society and should be housed in societies of like minded people, then they may get a real insight as to the pain and suffering they are responsible for.

I’m with ‘culma ‘ If anyone had touched a child of mine when they were young or any one of my grandchildren they wouldn’t survive to appear in Court. I would be inclined to execute them slowly over 5 days even though I am against the death penalty. Living is too good for them, even in prison.

By the way given the types of poverty measures that people like Johnie(I’m dying to use the C word) use .. then if by magic our incomes leaped by 30 odd % overnight to match Austalias , ie we are all 30+ % richer, but peoples relative incomes stay the same then exactly the same amount of children will be living in poverty as before.Go figure the futility and stupidity of the left

Capill pushed his Right wing Moral bandwagon and he was nothing more than a 2 faced lying hypocrite, thats why he should serve all his sentence!

Most here would have seen Capill come out of court and get a smack in the side of the head and start blubbering.
Capill didn’t have the decency to forgive the man who smacked him. Capill wanted him prosecuted, Capill should have turned the other check, knowing what he had just done to children, and walked away like a man.

Capill is just low-life scum in my book, you may see it different Sam, but many even here would agree with me for once.

Im centre, maybe centre right leaning – when I find myself slipping towards the left I only need to read comments like the ones from the left on this post and I am firmly back right – the lefties that are linking child rape to politics are idiots I would not want to share the same political persuasion with.

Insignificant but interesting fact: the guy that punched Capill was just waiting around outside of court for an appearance in another case, he asked the photographer that took the photo what the media was there for…so he was told that there was a child rapist (or was it alleged at the time) who was well known in court – then when Capill came out he decided to crack him! ha ha beautiful eh! its true everyone has their 15 mins… Im not 100% sure of this guys record but the additional assault conviction may not have bothered him…

Kent – while other words like nonce can be equally or more derogotary if they are not commonly known to be so they don’t have the same effect on the blog of scaring people off due to such abuse.

How did the fact that Capill crusaded against sexual deviants have anything to do with him being righwing, or are you saying that all people that have a right leaning viewpoint are child molesters? Cause that includes the RT Hon Winston Peters if this is the case!

I don’t get paid enough to judge Phillip Field, and to be totally honest as my first post points out. If he were guilty he wouldn’t want me judging him anyway as both him and Capill would never see the light of day again, (that is if he were guilty of course). What I would like to know is when the FACTS will be available to the public, IF EVER. (Might end up being released accidentally in Frau Clark’s memoirs). That is if he is guilty of course!
