You MUST change to Firefox

Okay for all those people using Internet Explorer, you really must change to Firefox. This is nothing to do with whether you like Microsoft, or not. Nothing to do with whether open source is good or not. It is all to do with the fact Firefox is several magnitudes better than IE.

I don’t care if your IT Department doesn’t allow it. Go to them and demand they allow it. If you own your own computer just go here and download it and try it. You will never want to go back.

The ability to have multiple tabs open at once is what most people rave about, but for me just as good are all the extensions you can try out and install. The ones I currently have running are:

BugMeNot – bypasses registration pages for many sites
Dictionary Search – just select a word and click to get a definition
DownThemAll – allows you to download all links on a page
Session Save – this one rocks. If you have say 12 open tabs/pages and need to close or reboot, then when you open FireFox again it opens up every page you had open previously.
Search Status – display Google and Alexa ranks for page you are viewing
ForecastFox – displays current forecast for where you live
gTranslate – one click and translate the page you are on

And there are many more than that. Just trust me and go try it out. I’m not saying never use IE because you need it on some sites, but think of difference between a BMW and a Skoda.
