Premier resigns due to depression

Well this is pretty rare. Geoff Gallop, the Premier of Western Australia, is resigning as both Premier and an MP, citing depression as the reason.

I can’t recall the last time a head of government resigned due on mental health reasons.

With the recent suicide attempt by the former NSW Liberal Leader still fresh, it is again a reminder on how tough it can be.
