Road Pricing

Good to see the Ministry of Transport raising the issue of road charges to help fund the building and maintenance of roads.

Users of roads should pay for them. In the absence of the technology, petrol tax is an adequate but not entirely satisfactory alternative.

Rates are, in my opinion, an entirely inappropriate method to fund roads.
