The Dominion Post editorial lashes the Government for its weak response to the Iranian President’s call for the destruction of Israel. I mean they have a point – Winston labelled it “unhelpful”. This is a bit like calling the invasion of Poland as unfriendly. We seem to have had the weakest response of any western country.

Of interest is that the Dominion Post also says it may have been wrong to urge engaging with Iran, rather than confronting it. I suspect they are not the only ones coming to that conclusion.
