Union membership up

The NZ Herald reports how union membership is up 17% in the last five years.

Various union people are quoting that it is because they are better organised, doing good things etc.

It couldn’t possibly be at all related to the fact it is now illegal to not join a union if you have a collective contract?

Or the fact that the taxpayer bribes civil servants with thousand dollar bonuses to join a union?
