Greens against Transmission Gully

The Greens oppose the ‘lite’ Transmission Gully option on the grounds it will remove only 4,000 cars a day from Mana Esplanada.

Now I’m not wild on the lite Transmission Gully option either – I want the full thing.

But the hypocrisy for the Greens to oppose it on the grounds it will reduce traffic flows by only 4,000 a day, is considerable. You see the improve the rail network option the Greens support will reduce traffic flows by only 100 vehicles a day. Yes for $410 million only 100 less vehicles a day.
