Vernon Small has a very useful article on the challenges Clark has in putting a Government together. She will, but it is a matter of how secure and happy everyone will be.

Also of interest is that the Maori Party and National are still talking to each other.

As I said, no-one should expect Helen Clark not to announce a Government next week. She will. But it will be fascinating how everyone is positioned.

Personally I’d be delighted if she can get all five left and centre parties voting with her Government. Because that means National and ACT have less competition.
