ABC Interview with Winston

ABC had an interview with Winston Peters as our foreign minister. they dexcribed his appointment by Clark as “a makeshift, desperate, last-ditch manoeuvre to keep her Labour Government in power”.

A key question from the interview:

Do you think China would not be a little confused that the Trade Minister of New Zealand supports a free trade deal but the Foreign Minister doesn’t?

It’s a fair point, and we will look mickey mouse. This new version of collective responsibility has the potential to be a farce.
