Respecting Religious Beliefs
I was somewhat amused to see in the paper a photo of the PM and Di Yates in Muslim headscarves entering a Mosque. They were entering through the door reserved for women.
Now I’m all for respecting religious beliefs, and if the PM thinks it is worth the extra votes, who am I to say no.
But what got me thinking was the contrast with respecting Christian beliefs. This is the same PM who refused to even allow grace to be said for the Head of the Church of England, and Head of State of NZ.
So a secular society means one can’t even say grace for the head of a Christian church but you can respect the customs of a local mosque.
