The SST has an article on the background of National’s and Labour’s candidates.

36 of the 65 National candidates have a background in business compared to 5 out of 82 for Labour.

National also has 11 lawyers. Not sure if this is a plus or minus 🙂

Labour has 28 teachers or academics and 17 unionists.
