Biggest Party does not equal Government
Just a reminder to people that there is a difference between being the biggest party and forming the Government. Certainly Labour have had a bad week with a corruption scandal and the cover blown on the student loans bribe. And I would be surprised if this does not translate into National being the biggest party.
However the left have a four way bloc of the Maori Party, the Greens, Progressive and Labour. And the target is for National plus potential allies to outpoll them in terms of the effective (non wsted) vote.
I think it will be a very close, and thrilling, election night with multiple variables such as:
* Maori Party overhang
* Progressive overhang
* Do ACT, Greens and NZ First make it
all affecting the outcome of who forms a Government.
