Wireless in Wellington

Good to see Telecom are expanding the number of areas they are offering wireless. Competition is good.

However their prices are shocking – what I would have expected to pay 10 years ago. $9.95 an hour is not going to have people using it.

To compare with Cafenet, they charge $10 for an entire 24 hours!! Or you can pay by the MB and it is only $20 for 70 MB. I’ve found that can last for a couple of months if one just uses it for e-mail and browsing occassionally.
