Nice…

National’s Tax calculator doesn’t recognise you if you earn under $15000 a year.

National’s tax calculator doesn’t allow your partner to earn a $0 income.

Guess those two aren’t mainstream.

So a self employed person declaring a nil return and trying to build up a business isn’t a working parent? I thought you guys would have appreciated that kind of accounting practise.

How many self-employed persons trying to set up a business declare nil returns. They may make a very small profit or even a loss to be carried forward but they would never declare a nil return. That’s just plain dumb irrespective of whether national’s calculator works or not.

I was pointing out the problems with the calculator. United future would argue that the income should be split.

It’s unfortunate that income splitting is only proposed by an otherwise unsupportable party. Although a flatter tax regime , which National has just missed an opportunity to move towards would lessen the need for it

there’s another big flaw in the calculator for people with loans. whoever does it for the nats had better fix it cos it will mislead a lot of people.

well Ive just had a play, I’m not better off with National. Im not beter off with Labour. I’m getting NOTHING. I’m getting exactly the same amount.
Unbelieable. Who should I vote for now?

Well that’s easy! Look at education, welfare, roading, law and order and the treaty – guess it’s National then Dave.

Do what is best for you and the country at large. Vote for ACT. Their policies are the only ones which have a long term benefit to NZ, as well as giving you immediate tax relief, to enable you to repay your own personal debt quicker, freeing up money to invest in your own name, for your own families benefit/ retirement.
