Not much of an audit

The Dom Post reports that up to 42% of Pipi money may have been paid to Donna Awatere-Huata or her associates.

But the amazing thing is an Accountant wrote a report stating no funds had been misused, and he did this on the basis of being so impressed with Doona’s explanations. He provided this report without seeing full accounts, minutes and invoices, which he asked for.

I know this wasn’t a full audit, but all the same, rather shocking laxness for a qualified accountant.
