Not a poll
I do wish the media would reserve the term “poll” for scientifically valid polls with random sampling.
The poll in this article is as scientific as a TV 0900 poll. The sample responding is self-selecting. I always refer to those as “surveys”.
Surveys can be very interesting and useful, as long as they are not represented as polls. And unde no circumstances should a survey lead a journalist to state “Young voters are backing Labour for an election win”.
