Cellphones in Cars

Now as a general rule, I’m against banning cellphone use in cars. The vast majority of drivers can sensible decide when it is or is not safe to use a cellphone. Certainly there are times I’ll let the phone ring unanswered because I need all my concentration.

But going around a corner, having hit 170 kms/hr and having both a cigarette and a cellphone in your hand is insanity – and sadly fatal for three people.
