At lunchtime today someone at a public meeting in Cannons Creek tried to charge National candidate Chris Finlayson. Luckily other candidates (well done) intervened to stop him.

One should be able to advocate in favour of the abolishing the Maori Seats, even in Cannons Creek, without worrying about this crap.

There have been recent death threats against Phil Goff and Helen Clark. I hope this is not all a sign of a growing intolerance in NZ politics.
