Iraq
The attack on Dr Brash over Iraq is very predictable. I said some weeks ago that Labour would try to distract the electorate with international issues, as they have stuffed up so badly on NZ issues.
First we had the sudden interest in Zimbabwe (which came to nothing), then tried to manufacture a story about a statement which had been National’s policy for a couple of years.
Now we have the almost farcical situation where Labour’s main campaign issue seems to be based on what hypothetical decision Don Brash may have taken over two years ago, when he was not even party leader, on Iraq. Wow that is looking to the future. I am sure the average NZer is more worried about hypothetical decisions two years ago than about fixing the shambles of an education system.
I look forward to Labour’s next issue being would Don Brash have sent troops to Vietnam?
