Affordability of Tax Cuts

Okay the debate is over. When even Tim Hazledine says that tax cuts are affordable, then there is no-one left to debate.

Writer David Slack, now labelled an expert, is the only one to argue against three economists, that tax cuts are not affordable. And in fact David merely argues that $100/week tax cuts are not affordable. Well I don’t think anyone is expecting $5,000/year tax cuts, so even David isn’t really saying they are unaffordable.

I’m trying to think of the last time Roger Kerr and Tim Hazeldine agreed on something.

My prediction that Labour will backtrack before the election, and announce it has agreed to more tax cuts after all, still stands.
