Legal Aid for Foreshore claims

The bill by Nanaia Mahuta to give legal aid to foreshore claimants (I always thought legal aid was only for those who were very poor) has been put on hold until after the election.

Guess what will be the first compromise to the Maori Party and the Greens if Labour is back in office?

Yep we’ll not only allow claims over entire stretches of the NZ foreshore, but we’ll pay people to make such claims.
