Well where do you start? Who thought it was as bad as this?

The 111 system is the frontline of policing. Even if nothing else is up to scratch, people want to know that if the need help and call 111, the Police will be there. We can put up with not investigating burglaries much etc but the 111 system underpins our overall confidence in the Police.

I won’t even repeat that call that everyone else is making for Hawkins to resign. The whole country has no confidence in him, but to keep the Labour factions appeased he is untouchable until after the election. I am sure I remember Hawkins telling everyone that there were no problems, just the odd slip-up. Well 61 recommendations puts paid to that.
