Taking senior detectives off their normal duties to operate speed traps, has just been stupid stupid stupid.

This looks to be the start of a return to the highly successful and sensible policies of the 90s (which did see road toll drop significantly) where the conditions of the road, and the weather, are taken into account for enforcement purposes and one doesn’t just have cops sitting in cars booking everyone doing 11 km/hr over the limit.
