National Radio Politics
An interesting show at the normal 11.30 am. Hooton says Tamihere can have no future in Labour. Harris says comments were disloyal, but what you sometimes get in a broad based party with competing factions.
Hooton says that when you read entire article he comes across disturbed and deranged, and his tone and style almost violent. Highlights that Clark first tried to portray him as drunk and then stressed, but Tamihere went on TV and appeared fine and has not apologised.
Rumour is that he offered to resign from Parliament but Clark turned it down, which she may come to regret.
He is not on stress leave, but embarrassment leave, according to Clark. Hooton says that the views he expressed are probably shared by the 10 – 15 other Labour MPs in his faction – they just won’t say it in public.
