Israel Stand-off

The situation with Israel is starting to get ridicolous, with the Government even blocking a visit by an Israeli military office to attend a fund-raiser for a Jewish charity.

Israel was quite wrong to try and have Mossad obtain fake NZ passports. And the Government was justified to ask for an apology and freeze visits at a Ministerial level. But to block a visit for a Jewish charity is getting over the top.

As pointed out in the article, the Government happily aloows visits from countries whose aim is to destroy Israel, and who regularly undertake state sponsored terrorism.
