I blame Bill Clinton

A US study has shown that teenagers who pledge abstinence are actually more likely to have oral and anal sex than other abstaining teenagers.

In fact overall, pledgers were six times more likely to have oral sex than teens who have remained abstinent but not as part of a pledge.

This is rather puzzling at first, until you realise the teenagers are doing a Bill Clinton and defining “sexual relations” in the same way slick Willie did, and saying oral does not count. They are probably all future lawyers and politicians!

Bottom line I think is that if you pressure your kids to promise something, they’ll get very creative with how to get around it.
