An Assistant Commissioner in court

It is a first for NZ, to have an Assistant Commissioner of Police charged with serious criminal offences.

It is good the court did not gave name supression to those charged, probably because everyone would have found out within hours anyway as it has been so publicised.

I suspect it would now be a bad thing for me to offer any views on outcomes in advance of the trial, so I will content myself to uninformed commentary on the Michael Jackson trial instead!
