A bad decision

Helen Clark has decided to defer funding of the $6.2 million parliamentary broadcasting system until the 2006 budget.

No-one at all wanted the broadcasting system to be delayed. They just did not want the media broadcasters banned from having their own cameras. The Government should have repealed the proposed ban, rather than delay the entire system.

This is basically throwing out the good part of the proposal.
