$237 million

Good God – just learnt at question time that Te Wananga O Aotearoa now gets $237 million a year in funding. That is more than Otago University got when I was there, and they are an actual university.

Trevor Mallard has just said he can not say taxpayers are gettting value for the money they are giving Te Wananga. The obvious question has to be why they are getting so much money!!!

One of the courses allegedly involves sending people to Queensland to train to be security guards!

UPDATE: In 1999 this institution only got $8 million a year in funding. Labour has let this increase by 3000% and only now do we hear that there may not be value for money!
