The Government’s plans for those on long-term welfare looks pretty good. There is an irony that National proposing the same would be subjected to hysterical attacks and cries of beneficiary bashing.

In fact we see the sort of emotive language in the article, where the Press says “Rodney Hide is expected to launch a fresh attack on welfare recipients”. What crap to be labeled as attacking welfare recipients where in fact you are debating what the government welfare policy should be.

Would we ever see a story about Helen Clark attacking taxpayers, because she won’t give them a tax cut?
