Bush is now re-elected

At 11.19 am (NZDT) Goerge W Bush was declared re-elected as President. The challenge to the 118,000 majority Bush had in Ohio was massively defeated. In the Senate only one Senator voted in favour of the objection (Boxer) with 74 against.

The House rejected it by 267 votes to 31 with even Democrats voting 89 to 31 against it. At one stage the live tally on CSpan even showed a Republican against but it must have been a glitch as the vote disappeared (or Congress uses Diebold also for electrnic voting :-).
