Well done SAS
The SAS should be proud of the work they are doing in Afghanistan, and for the unit citation and a personal commendation for its commander, Lieutenant Colonel Peter Kelly, from the United States and President Bush.
Unlike the Iraq war, which was very controversial, the conflict against the Taliban in Afghanistan was supported by basically every country in the world, and even in NZ by pretty much everyone except Keith Locke. We should be very proud of the contribution we are making through the SAS.
I am puzzled by why the Government has let us find out about this award some weeks after it happened, through the US media. They should have been adding their congratulations to those of the US Government.
