NBR Poll

The NBR Poll on Friday was interesting, showing only a 7% gap between Labour and National. Earlier polls by other compnies had all shown a gap twice as big or more.

The combination of the Zaoui case, civil unions and smoking ban may have combined to shift some voters away from Labour. This is of course why they wanted to get it all passed before 2005.

Of course the NBR poll (which had 11% gap the month before) may just be a one off. TV One should have their final poll of the year either tonight or next Sunday so we’ll see if the gap is under or over 10% for them.
