Hubbard assistant quits

I don’t normally like to make predictions so far out from an election, but I do predict Dick Hubbard will not be Auckland Mayor after the next local body elections. In fact he may not even run again.

His personal assistant has now quit in protest at Hubbard’s total reversal on the civil union bill.

I wonder if we may see a Banks vs Hucker contest in 2007?
