Orewa II

Don Brash has delivered what the media have been calling Orewa II – a key note speech on law & order. The speech is online.

I have been amazed by the amount of anticipation this speech has generated in the last few weeks. People from all parties have been speculating on what will be in there, what sort of impact it may make etc. This is incredible considering Brash is Leader of the Opposition, and not yet Prime Minister. When Clark, and before her Moore and Bolger were Opposition Leaders, no-one cared much at all about speeches they might make.
