John Howard to address Nats conference

Australian PM John Howard is going to address next weekend’s National Party Anuual Conference by video-link.

This is quite a coup, as it is unusual to get incumbent Prime Ministers from other countries.

I met John Howard last year at the IDU Young Leaders Forum in Sydney. He hosted us for a few hours at Kirribilli House (which has one of the most stunning harbour views in the world) and was an extremely good host. Very keen to talk rugby with those of us there from New Zealand. Came over very much as a “fair dinkum bloke”.
