More hyperbole
The normally sedate and sensible NZPA is right into the hyperbole delcaring in the story carried by the Herald that “Helen Clark declared all-out war on National Party leader Don Brash” and “escalated tension over race relations into an assault on several fronts”.
It is amusing that Clark is reported as being upset that “her government’s positive initiatives were being questioned”. Oh boo hoo. How dare the Opposition question her positive initiatives. I predict she will start referring to herself in the third person soon, a sign normally linked to suggesting anyone disagreeing with her is unpatriotic.
The Orewa speech is now “gross and unpleasant” (to her poll ratings maybe). Then short of anything new to say she steals from John Kerry his normal concluding line “I say: bring it on.” How unoriginal.
